AAHC’s 2018 Spring Homebuying Workshops had 4 Winners of $1,000 Down Payment Assistance

By | May 10, 2018

Prospective homebuyers who attended either of AAHC’s Spring Homebuying Workshops in VA or MD, gained a full day’s worth of information on the homebuying process, 1st time homebuyer mortgage programs, down payment and closing cost assistance, affordable housing, fair housing laws, and much more. They were able to learn from and speak directly to local government representatives, mortgage lenders, realtors, and nonprofit counselors, addressing their specific questions and needs. Contributing to the informative atmosphere was the enthusiastic interaction between the audience and experts during the presentations and the insightful questions that were asked. Free 3-agency credit reports and scores were also provided to interested participants, along with the offer to have a one-on-one session to review them later with an AAHC counselor.

The highlight of both workshops was of course the drawing of the four winners of the Grand Prize of $1,000 in Down Payment Assistance. In Virginia, Mr. Kwang Kim of Annandale, and Mr. Jung Lee of Centreville were the lucky winners! At the workshop in Maryland Ms. Susan Griffith of Silver Spring, and Mr. Prajwal Pradhan of Gaithersburg were added to the winning group They all have one year to use the $1,000 prize towards the down payment of a home, congratulations to the winners!
